Season 3 Episode 1

New Voice, Same Vibe: The WildHER Evolution Begins

In this raw and real season opener of WildHER Wisdom, Shelley welcomes her new co-host, Mary Gajda, to the mic for a powerful conversation about change, authenticity, and embracing every phase of life. As they reflect on the show's evolution and the transition from former co-host Amy, listeners are invited into an honest and inspiring dialogue about personal growth, the courage to set boundaries, and the messy beauty of finding balance.

Shelley and Mary share intimate stories of their wild journeys—from motherhood and career shifts to sabbaticals and self-discovery. They explore how the idea of "wildness" has transformed across their life stages, and how wisdom often catches up with our untamed hearts. With laughter, vulnerability, and a few hard truths, they discuss the tug-of-war between ambition and joy, the challenge of saying no, and the daily work of showing up as your whole self.

This episode marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for WildHER Wisdom, complete with fresh energy, deeper conversations, and the introduction of the unapologetically real "WildHER No Filter Finale" segment. Whether navigating a life pivot or simply seeking space to breathe and be, this episode is a beautiful reminder that growth is always possible—and that our wildest selves are often the wisest.

What We’re Wild About!

Right now, I'm absolutely wild about diving deep into the world of stoicism and philosophy. There's just something grounding and empowering about exploring timeless wisdom and applying it to our modern lives. At the same time, I'm knee-deep in soil and seeds, getting my garden ready for the season—there's nothing like the promise of homegrown tomatoes and fresh herbs to get me excited. And maybe most thrilling of all? I've got chickens on the way! I'm counting down the days until they arrive and I can start this new little adventure in backyard homesteading. ~Shelley

This week, I'm wild about the little things that feel like everything: my 3.5 year-old granddaughter's unfiltered joy for life from the moment she wakes up. I’m grateful for my husband, who’s noticed how full my plate is this month and has quietly stepped up with housework and cooking because he sees I'm so busy. Outside, my favorite crab apple tree is bursting into bloom, the grass is vivid green, and the trees are waking up, reminding me how alive everything really is. I’m also deeply enjoying being part of the WildHER Wisdom podcast—there’s something powerful about being in community with wise, grounded women who speak from the heart. Using my voice to motivate others reminds me that I need to take the same care of myself. ~Mary
